We got this in the mail the day of the Inauguration, but as I said, Subdrive operations were out because we were in DC rocking out with the millions of our fellow crazed Americans.
The American Dream Team boys wanted to celebrate and welcome the 44th President with arms wide open by starting off the new presidency with a spankin' new remix of Trouble Andrew's "Chase Money".
If you're still in DC this weekend or live there, do not miss TADT performing live at the Rock & Roll Hotel tomorrow Friday the 23rd. Seriously, DC, go check them out!
Adam Freeland got together with some crazy Kubrik toys and had a dream about Daft Punk playing out on their Pyramid in celebration of Obama winning the Presidency. The trippy visuals and stop-motion animation are fantastic, and when Obama comes out its just hilariously classic.
If you want this in even higher res, check out the Vimeo version!
Ok so pardon my lateness. I just got back from DC from the insanity that was Inauguration 2009 for Barack Obama. I've never seen my hometown so insane; it was like New York during New Year's!
Stussy DCthrew a crazy party at their Florida Ave location with the District's own WALE and Bun B of UGK, the Artist's Ball was raging down near the convention center, and people in the millions chanted out Obama's name once he swore the Presidential oath.
Crazy all that happened in 2 days.
So I'm going to be playing catch up and instead of writing up everything in one post I'm splitting it up for the podcast and RSS subscribers.
Tons of Obama related stuff from Adam Freeland, The American Dream Team, plus new remixes, tracks, and events coming up.
Today is probably one of the most important elections in the history of the United States. Today, people will determine who is the next chief of state.
And today is NOW.
The Crystal Method, like Adam Freeland and countless other DJs, have thrown in their support for Obama for President. And Subdrive is throwing its support for Obama today in the last hours.
Blast this when you're at the polls, when you're about to vote, or even as you're voting.
Thanks to the guys at Discobelle for bringing this to our attention. Adam Freeland has been playing out an edit of Daft Punk's Aerodynamic with a bit of a chant for Barack Obama. It's pretty nice considering that in the realm of electronic music I haven't seen some outright political endorsements via tracks. We all know people are supporting certain candidates but hearing it outright on the track is a great and different thing.
If you're an Obama supporter, rock the track all the way through Election Day on November 4th. Oh and I promise to never get political on here, but this is really important. If you haven't registered for your absentee ballots or registered to vote in New York or your home state, do it now. The deadline is literally a week away.
