Todosantos - Live at the 2008 Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival

Due to server issues the file was not being accessed, this issue has been resolved.

Second to last set in the BEMF Live series!

We wrote about Todosantos about a year back when we saw their first live show at Monkeytown in Brooklyn. Needless to say, we were blown away by the sheer audiovisual impact and the fact that they had all the pieces of the music puzzle together.

If you didn't read the article, Todosantos are an energetic 4-person group hailing from Venezuela now living in New York. Their performance is a mix of live VJing and graphic manipulation with their own original tracks that mash up house, electro, latin music, breaks, ghettotech, and more to form a sound they like to call "tukky bass".

Mix all that together on a hot summer night on a canal with a huge crowd and you've got Todosantos' explosive BEMF-closing set! The live set is just part of the puzzle; you need to SEE them to appreciate the performance so check out their myspace for upcoming shows.

Todosantos

My friend Supervixen invited me to one of her parties at Monkeytown in Brooklyn the other night to check out the record release of her friends group Todosantos. The venue was cool; its a little restaurant and bar with a slick multimedia room in the back.

Todosantos was extremely impressive. It's a three-person group, two guys and one girl each rocking out one aspect of the show. It's an electronic live act gone insane with live visuals that made the show even more impressive. The team is from Venezuela but they're here in Brooklyn pushing their new EP "Acid Girlzzz" out on Flamin' Hotz Records.

I had a chance to pick up the 12" and the group has totally killed it with features. Besides having all the remixes for the title track on vinyl, it comes with 3D glasses for the sleeve artwork and a DVD with all the music videos, tracks and remixes in MP3 and iTunes formats. Really awesome and a great way to give people options.

They'll be playing again on October 19th at Now That's What I Call a Party! Check them out!!

The guys at Discobelle actually posted the Cousin Cole remix of one of their tracks today.
